Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshop

 Crime Prevention and Fingerprinting

The Westerville Division of Police hosted a Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshop on Saturday February 6, 2016. The workshop was held at the Church of the Messiah from     8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participating Scouts had the opportunity to earn their Crime Prevention Merit Badge and their Fingerprinting Merit Badge. The Fingerprinting Merit Badge was a new addition to the workshop which has been held every other year for the local Boy Scout troops.  Activities included were workshops on fingerprinting and crime prevention, lectures on corporate security by the head of security for Mount Carmel Health Systems and Community Crime Prevention by Mayor Kathy Cocuzzi.  The scouts display their crime prevention posters and notebooks.
