Our Seniors

March 25, 2017 was sunny and bright and it brought out many of our Westerville area seniors for a look a the latest safety messages from over 60 vendors.  The event is sponsored by the Westerville Division of Police and the Westerville Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association.

The Serving Our Seniors Day was attended by about 300 seniors who were able to visit with over 60 vendors showcasing senior services and products to aid seniors in their everyday life.

A seminar was given by Ryan Lippe, Consumer Educator from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office on fraud awareness, consumer protection strategies and scam prevention which was very well attended.   Everyone enjoyed a delicious free lunch from Subway that was served by our WCPAAA volunteers and the Westerville Police Explorers.  Highlighting the day were several drawings for door prizes that were donated by many of the event vendors, the grand prize being a large fire safe provided by the Police Department.

Many thanks go out to all our sponsors, volunteers, vendors and the Westerville Police Explorer Post for all their help and support.
